“Did she just say, ‘Quit your job on the first day?'”
As “nearly-grads”, many of us are looking to launch into a successful career. Thanks to this Forbes article, you now know which jobs to quit on the first day.
They list 10 reasons, but I will share my favorite three:
1. QUIT YOUR JOB IF…
They say that they will not provide training because they’d like to see how resourceful you can be in learning your new position. Another iteration of this is, “Sink or swim.”
2. QUIT YOUR JOB IF…
They tell you that you’ll need to buy supplies/equipment with your own money. If they can’t afford to give you basic tools necessary for success, they don’t care about your success.
3. QUIT YOUR JOB IF…
None of your new co-workers knew you were coming or how to train you. If, in your new employer’s eyes, you aren’t worth even one informational memo to the staff, RUN!
You are an independent human who don’t need no job!
(Well, actually, you do. Just, keep your standards high.)
